I write at the spiritual and emotional edges of modern life. My fiction often centers women in moments of rupture, mystery, and transformation—whether in 17th-century New England or a speculative near future shaped by immersive technology. I'm drawn to stories about belief, memory, and the unseen forces that bind us to one another.

Before turning full-time to fiction, I spent two decades working at the intersection of technology, ethics, and culture. I was a VP at a series of venture-backed startups, co-founded a leadership program, and later served as Vice President of Global Communications at Internews, a nonprofit supporting independent media in over 100 countries. There, I worked alongside local journalists navigating censorship, conflict, and disinformation—experiences that shaped many of my essays on international reporting and continue to inform my thinking about truth, power, and voice.

I'm the author of Cybergrace: The Search for God in the Digital World (Crown, 1996), one of the earliest books to explore how digital technologies reflect and reshape our spiritual imagination. My essays have appeared in Wired, The On Being Project, The World Economic Forum, and elsewhere.

My completed novel Castaway explores the tensions between healing, self, and technology through the lens of a fractured mother-daughter relationship. I'm currently at work on A Lily Among Thorns, a re imagining of Anne Hutchinson’s spiritual unraveling after her exile from Puritan New England.
